As you have indicated yourself: be consistent.
That means consentration and not to be tired = do not play too many games in a row. If +1400 is the only goal this should be suficient, provided you do not play too highly rated players.
If becoming a better chessplayer is the goal, forget about the rating. Analyse your game directly after you have played it (That is: do not play on and on without knowing anything about what you should or should not have done = not learning anything except probably bad habits.), and use the Tactics Trainer and other training and teaching stuff (read: Heisman, Silman and other advice here on Chess.com.)

average opponent 1404..
i really found it hard to break through 1400..
and if i could made it..
what doest it takes for me to become +1400 chess player
