lol something annoying about online chess in chess.com is when it is my turn, i may be taking a brake. But i may run out of time and i don't want to use my vacation time!Cool

SteveM

Why don't you create a game where there is more time?

Go to online chess, create an open challenge, and change the time limit to 5 or maybe 10 days per move.

i knew you would say that but i sometimes take a break for more than the limitWink

Ah, I see...the only other solution I can think of is vacation time.

Hope that helps!

seanki

i know. But i am almost out of vacation timeEmbarassed

I know, you will say ''you either have to move to get it out of the way, or use the remainder of your vacation time'' but don't you wish there was another way lol

You may simply have to submit to cloning.

Admittedly, this has scary consequences, but I don't believe the chess.com Terms of Service explicitly prohibit your clone from making moves for you while you take a nap.

But if that turns out to be a violation, then perhaps bi-location is an option - you can be two places at one time: making moves in Online at chess.com and shooting golf balls at the driving range.

Or simply, you might just make some really quick - obviously lousy - moves and accept the inevitable.

There are no simple solutions, I'm afraid.Wink

lol the maximum is 14 days.

Or...................

Why don't you find someone who is willing to set up a board and play through messages or email.  Granted it won't affect your rating, but who's concerned with that? (lol)

lol that would be boring! Laughing

seanki

i know. What if a 100 years per move? that be tooo silly lol

seanki

yep. lol

seanki

The oldest person would barely make 2 moves.

SteveM

how about one move per lifetime?

If you come back as a turtle, you may be at a disadvantage, but if you come back as a dolphin, you're in luck!

OK - this is getting silly....
