This topic was pretty much owned by Panda, as he was going over his win at the recent American Open, that took place from November 25th-28th, in Los Angeles, California. Panda, after 8 rounds, held a three-way tie for first place in the event at 6.0/8 against IM Enrico Sevillano and GM Melik Khachiyan, who just recently covered the last few rounds of the FIDE Metro Invitational just last week here on Chess.com TV.
Sadly, I am not able to post PGNs of any of the games, but in Round 4, the event's top seed GM Alejandro Ramirez, played Black and after a very short game, Panda came out as the winner.
In Round 7, the key round, both Sevillano and Panda were tied at 5.5/6, and as black after a long, wonderful battle, the result was a draw, forcing the tie for first place. Congrats to the Panda on a well played tournament.
