PANDA and POET: Nov 30th: Topic 3: Attack-Counterattack

   As with any good talk show, there has to be a segment that brings the Hosts to a little head to head debate. And this episode was no exception.

   The Topic of this debate: Section Prizes for Chess Tournaments

   Poet started this off by saying that section prizes were nonsense, and that GMs, IMs and so on should not have to share the prize fund with players that are ranked lower than they are (1600, 1400, etc.)

   Panda fired back by saying GMs are very spoiled in chess events as they expect everything when it comes to sharing money. He also stated that without lower ranked players shelling good money out of their own pockets and paying for these types of tournaments that include different rated sections, there wouldn't be many tournaments to participate in.

   Poet, during this, held up signs on his camera feed saying things like "I'm With Stupid" with an arrow pointing down to Panda's feed and also a sign that said "Is Bamboo Toxic?"

   What do you think? Do you think GMs should share prize money with the lower ranked players or just be given the bulk of the prize funds??  Let us hear what you think.
