Play rated games against computer or bots?

Hello!

I played a game against one of the chess.com bots, I think it was last Thursday, thinking it would be both saved and rated. But there is no history of the game. I emailed support but have not gotten a response.

What are the required parameters to have a game played on Chess.com 1) Saved? and 2) Rated?

I haven't found anything like a how to use chess.com document, so if something like that exists would someone be so kind as to point me to it?

The option to play rated bots or the computer has been gone for months now.  Some folks were gaming the system to artificially inflate their ratings.  You can save games but you need to do it manually.  There are options to either save it to your library or your regular archive.  I'm not sure but maybe the archive option only pops up after you do an analysis.

baddogno, thanks for taking the time to reply! Good to know what you've told me, but really sad to hear it. As in other aspects of life, dishonest people have an unpleasant impact on regular folks. I'll keep looking for a site where I can find that. Thanks again!

You don’t really need a rating to know your approximate rating average against the bots. When you hit one where you win about half the time, then that’s where you’d be rated.
