Playing from a Mobile Device

I play from my computer, so this does not apply to me, but I have been trying to recruit more players, and many of them want to play.  But they use a mobile phone, and not a computer.  Pretty much all of them say that they are not able to create an account here.  Is there some trick to being able to do that?  Thank you, and Happy 2014!

I signed up online but use a phone and kindle to play as well. For both devices, I just downloaded the chess.com app and then signed in. For someone who does not have an account, then there is a "sign up" or similar prompt.

Thank you!  Is there some special trick to getting this app?  I assume that there is some fee involved?  Thank you again!

If they have a phone that is not android or an I phone, are they just out of luck, or is there another way?

They can still play it in a web browser if their phone and plan supports it.

Thank you.

The app is free and easy to download.

They get their money from memberships so the app is free.

Or the browser option may work.

I would have thought so, and yet so many of these players are telling me that they cannot get in.  Maybe that is just their indirect way of telling me that they don't want to play.

I use my iPad (fourth-generation) to play chess. It's the greatest with the chess.com app...

Thank you.  I guess not everyone has one...

I use a desktop and mobile device.

I was actually going to start a thread about how much I HATE the app! I loved it before they changed it. UGH

I couldnt play from the website on my phone. I got all the way to a game, then I couldnt move my pieces.. So I had to get the app unless I only wanted to play on my desktop..
