Mathew McConanahe stinks as an actor-he's just eye candy 4 the ladies. Kathy Bates is awesome in what she has done. JT I thought was good in Pulp Fiction and Get Shorty oh ya Renee Russo and Sandra bullock are great. Kevin Spacey is awesome and his impressions are great look em up on youtube. Brad Pitt has been good at times Seven and Snatch are both very good. I've always been quite fond of Snatch it's a must see.

I just saw Used Cars this past week.  I think that was Kurt Russell's best film. His acting career went downhill from there.

You like Meryl Streep because its California law!  Even when she didn't make a movie, Calif penal code says she gets nominated

I don't get it. Has she won a lot of Oscars? I really would not know. I've loved her ever since The Deer Hunter back in the 70's. Also Sophies Choice

Yes. She has won 3 oscars and nominated 19 times.I think it is most nominations for an actress. Check out Postcards From the Edge she's funny and she sings very good.Streep was just so overhyped in the early 80's you woulda thought they couldn't make a movie without her so that 'California law' makes me lol.

Hugh Laurie nailed House. Wilson too remember from dead poets society. Would not be surprised to see  him in movies or another series.

Also John C Riley and Denzel Washington.

One more observation, as far as the men go, some of the very best actors are NOT leading men but rather character actors. Two of my favorites are Philip Seymore Hoffman and Gary Oldman.   >:[

I think Gene Hackman is one of the most underrated actors.

Add Denzel Washington to the list. 😎 From as far back as Malcolm X to The Equalizer he's played quite a few memorable roles.

Tommy Lee Jones was good in 'No country for Old Men'.
