Well, I did not. I came to this site with ELO still 1000, although I keep being told that I am about 1700 ELO. In about a month I was beating everybody and got to 1870 (here in chess.com). Then the pawnage stopped, because I played with better players, but I was able to hold my rating about the 1850 (with the average opposition of 1714).
About the comparison of ratings here on chess.com and ELO, I would say that chess.com = 1.1*ELO or something similar to it.
Is it just me or is 1500 the new 1700? I feel like the competition has dramatically improved on this site. Has anyone else noticed this?
