Question about live chess

How do I challenge somebody in live chess?

This may sound like a stupid question, but when I click "Challenge" in a player's profile, it brings up online chess, and I know I can click on their name anywhere in the live chess interface but what if I'm not in a room with them or somewhere where i can click their name...? 

It would be nice if a moderator would happen upon this thread...

Play -> Live Chess -> Play Live Chess 

Now if you want to create a random open challenge, change the gme settings and then press find seek. If you want to challenge individual people... I have to think about it. I think there is a tab for players in ive chess where you can just scroll down until you find the player.

where is it exactly?

Add him as a friend, then in the friends tab right click on him, and click challenge.

What if they don't want to be a friend
