Why isn't anyone's name just plain "chess"?

When I first started going on Playchess.com to play chess, my first username that I chose was "chess".Tongue out

I have noticed that there are no users on this site with the username "chess". I think it may be because that is considered an invalid username. Somebody would have chosen it as a username by now after over 1,000,000 have joined.
