Rank vs Percentile

Here is my rapid rank and percentile from today:-

1283 Global (1,692,121) #122,552 Percentile 76.9%

If I am player rank number 122,552 out of a total player pool of 1,692,121 then would my percentile not be:-

(1-(122,552/1,692,121)) * 100 = 92.9%

Or what is the relationship between rank and percentile?

Look at the leaderboard. The bottom of the leaderboard in rapid is 531195 today.

You are (1-122522/531195)*100=76.9%.

The number 1,692,121 must be total players who ever played rapid or something like that.

The number of blitz players in the leaderboard yesterday was 1,576,426.  However, you are not ranked in blitz. I guess you haven't played enough games. (but if you did, you would use that number in the calculations of percentile instead of the number shown of  4,620,271 )

Anybody know for sure what the 1,692,121 number refers to?

If I click on global it says Players 1,692,121

I use this topic to ask a question;

I am 1300~ blitz player... Just now I am 1253.

But it is possibile that with only 1253, I am stronger then 74% of chess.com players...?! 

Or at Rapid, with 1537 i am stronger then 90+% of chess.com players?!

So in order to find out the true number of players I need to go to the last page on the Leaderboard.

But how do you get to the last page?

The first page only has links to pages 2,3,4,5

The last page would be page number 10600 or something

I know you have provided a link in your reply (to what was the last page yesterday but is no longer the last page today) but how did you get this link?

Looks like it has been fixed now.

Here are my rankings over the course of the last week.

1273 Global (1,691,318) #125,946 Percentile 75.5%
1283 Global (1,692,121) #122,552 Percentile 76.9%
1285 Global (1,693,134) #124,306 Percentile 77%
1288 Global (542,000) #123,364 Percentile 77.2%

The global has now been dropped to 542,000 and my ranking of 123,364 puts me correctly at exactly 77.2%
