Rating Percentiles and Computer 4 Impossible

Two things I would like to bring up.

1) Computer 4 Impossible does not appear to be taking challenges and hasn't played a game since December 13th.  Does anybody know what is going on with this?

2) The percentiles in the stats section changed.  About a month ago I noticed all the percentiles for different time controls dropped about 1 percent.  I also noticed that the math doesn't add up when you calculate your percentile using the ranking they give you out of total members.  I assume they modified the calculation to only include active members but I am not sure.

Anyone know anything about this stuff?

The stats have been horked for a long time.  I inquired to Support months ago, never got a meaningful response, of course.

Just to confirm: The stats have been updated to only reflect active members.  The ranking they give you: x out of 3,200,000 is misleading because the percentile is only calculated out of 850,000 active members.

How is "active" defined?  Also, how do you know these things?

I don't know how "active" is defined.  It might have something to do with your glicko rating.  I know that the number they are using is around 850,000 based on the ranking and percentile they give me.   You can calculate it pretty easily.

Someone else recently posted about Computer4-Impossible. I suggested opening a ticket to ask. I haven't seen an update yet in that topic.

Also, percentile in your stats isn't not rank divided by the number of active players. I'm pretty sure it is percentile rank. Which is a function of where your rating falls along the rating distribution curve.

Opening a ticket?  LOL.  Like I said, I write to Support months ago, multiple times, actually.  Try that, see how far that gets you.

I suggested the ticket about the bot.

The thing percentile needs is a help article so that we cant point to the real definition.

The other topic I was talking about says the bot is back online.
