I have an online game going on now with a higher rated player who is going to lose...even though it seems like he wants to drag it out as long as possible.
My question is: how does the timing of when the game is concluded affect the ratings adjustment. Assume that, while we started off with a 50 point ratings difference, by the time the game ends, our unadjusted ratings will be about the same.
Is the adjustment based on the ratings we had at the start of the game or our ratings 1 sec before resignation?
