Remove flags

Flags are good. They let me know whether I’m playing a staller. I just wish we could block specific flags

This is a very good idea and I wholeheartedly hope that Chess.com takes action upon this issue.

emilio1689

chess.com does not have enough support stuff to watch all chats, forums etc

they made a bot that cant solve any problem and after some useless standard messaging just redirects it to the live moderator who replies in several days if you are lucky

Great, RIP the forum

I think you shouldn't write anything if you're going into personal insults. You're probably either 13, or your IQ is no higher than the number in your nickname, or you're a ru player playing under the flag of someone else's country. In any case, you're a loser troll))

Im 15 with an IQ of 140 so maybe use facts instead of insults, which ironically you were just complaining about. Because this thread is going Off topic ill just watch your answer in Amusement

I was about to ask you what exactly about being German makes you so proud. But now I've read you're 15. Makes sense. I guess you're excused.

What specifically makes anyone proud of their homeland? Patriotism is a combination of many of things. He is allowed to be proud of his heritage.

True. It's also allowed to be proud of giraffes for having long necks and cute dots. (Except that they don't have a track record of commiting or assisting genocides, or of having a colonialist past.)

Without colonialism, the average lifespan (excluding infant mortality rates which would lower it even further) would be barely over half of what it is currently, the world population would be roughly a third of what it is now, quality of life would be so much lower in all parts of the world so as to be almost unrecognizable. Colonialism as an inherently negative concept is just typical postmodernist nonsense.

Nobody will disagree with you that genocide is bad; almost every country in the world has genocides in its past and so calling out any one specifically is meaningless.

You found out about history! While genocides are awful, every culture did them. Huh, It's almost like humans are sadistic and cruel? When you were so wrapped up in who colonized who did you realize it's part of human nature? Your argument is sound though, "Be ashamed of who you are because of people you never met".

And are these countries also on trial in Den Haag for assisting genocide? Not in the past, but at this very moment?

Started with discussing a small chess.com's feature, ended with genocide...

Yeah, colonialism was great for the colonizers. These postmodernist punks who dare to deviate from a eurocentric view of history...

You are misquoting me. No one was talking about being ashamed. I was talking about not being proud. So you're argument seems to be, "Be proud because of people you never met"?

Nah, I ain't proud of them, that's their job not mine.

If you're going to force people to fly a flag, the Jolly Roger should be an option.

I want to have the flag of Antarctica in the list

Hi. I don't want to seem smart, but we are now living in the 21st century, I understand that humanity in its essence does not change, but we still need to take steps to improve society. We are all in the same boat. We are all inhabitants of the same planet, flags separate us, in this case on this site. I strongly urge the admins of this site to forget a little about money, and think about the option of removing the flag from the nickname, we all love chess, let it unite us, and flags separate us.

If you do not want to remove the flag, you can simply make it visible when you go to the player's page.

I'm confused. You are requesting that flags be removed, but you have a flag next to your name. If you were serious about your request, wouldn't you set an example and remove it yourself?

in the profile settings there are only flags, there is no choice without a flag. This is probably difficult for you, I understand

Just put the international flag I guess lol

People will generally gravitate towards whatever is on their mind. It doesn't even matter what the original topic was. Me, I gravitated towards the comment by Jenium about giraffes.

I heard that giraffes are one of the few mammals that have no vocal cords. But they are able to make infrasonic sounds people can't hear.
