Why did chess.com take from us possibility for searching banned users by name? From their search engine on website you can't do that anymore. It is still possible from mobile app. As chess.com club owner, this was very useful for me to track unfair players who were coming back to my community. I can still find those players by other search engines, I just wonder why is chess.com constantly making their site less userfriendly? What is the point of hiding banned players from search engine?

Świetne pytanie.

It still works if you go to the archive. I guess they're trying to hide the amount of cheaters. Before you would type in a cheaters name and see 20 accounts all the same, but with random numbers added on. Now you only see the good guys.

@Xynoid you are right, it works from archive search. Thanx!

If you already know the username, you don't need to search. Just go to

https://www.chess.com/member/USERNAME

Oh! So it doesn't work. In archive is the same thing, you must know the name. In main search engine you could find players with similar names, and that was the main idea.

So the “Search members” part of https://www.chess.com/members doesn’t work for you any more?

It works perfectly, but you can't find banned players from this search anymore.
