While it certainly is an amazing fact that Shannon's number exists, something I have wondered about is a possibly more realistic number. Is there a way to find out the number of unique games in the chess.com database total? I feel like this would help take out most of the "unrealistic" moves. Perhaps a better number even would be the number of unique games in the 2000+ rating.
