should chess.com scan existing content for "banned" words and replace them?

As I'd already explained, I'm only aware owing to the red banners I have received from quoting existing comments or topics. I don't see why I should be punished for:
- other users violating the TOS
- site's inability to prevent them on different platforms
- site choosing to automute innocent users who happen to quote pre-existing content on other platforms.
this should be a technical problem with a technical solution. why isn't this fixed?

since the autobot is a dismal failure is ensuring people don't use "banned" words at post time, should the site constantly scan existing and older posts for such works and replace them with acceptable alternative so that innocent posters don't get warned when they unwittingly quote them? or is this some form of entertainment for staff?
here are some suggestions:
[Moderator removed list of offensive language - AA]
Just trying to help.
And vent my frustration. Got 2 red banners already today, 1 for quoting an old topic title and the other for putting a break by mistake in the typing of `tetanus`.
i doubt the removed list was offensive and these people just sensitive
chess.com should do better

It probably isn't worth the investment to retro-scan forum postings since the mods can always respond to complaints made against those same posts. Sufficient justification doesn't seem to exist.
And....
I sense a troll-thread.

It would be interesting. I’ve mostly stopped quoting the OP of forums — I think some filters just don’t engage which lets people evade them? Maybe that’s the issue? Have gotten these banners only once or twice in the last few years so it’s not a huge issue for me but I can see how it would be to llama, who gets into every controversy
Human paid moderation does sound like a good solution indeed, but less than 0.1% of the people on this site go on the forums iirc, so maybe it isn’t worth it financially.

i love getting auto muted for using a single swear word which in the context isn't offensive at all, because the context itself is about some teenager humor in a private blog that only close friends can see! i also love getting auto muted for saying another swear word which in the context isn't even a swear word because we were talking about badminton! in a private bughouse chat between me and my partner! the thing i love most of all is having to contact support saying i did nothing wrong and for them to respond to me after my mute is over! i love this place!

nothing as fun as being punished for other ppls "offensive" language

But how are suppose to know what is obscene language. After all the Idot word isn’t allowed but is never mentioned anywhere and is literally said in SpongeBob

honestly I'd suggest that cc just ban every word so we don't need to worry about what we can and can't say anymore

Cc would do that though. Cc would also make like in game chat where you can only say certain phrases like “Good game” “Nice Move” “Respect” etc

And somebody removed my pfp without warning or notice. again.
Was it you @AwesomeAtti?
Probably
just got my 3rd red banner.
looks like i'll be going away for a while soon.
i believe @scoldez got muted for the same.
So anyone types colors in a spanish conversation here, they'd get a warning. nice going, inclusive chess.com

Probably
Can you believe they did it again. But this time.
Who is the deranged snowflake offended by this?
It's almost like as if a previous mod, @bartsimpson50 is back
It's like checking into a hotel and finding someone removed your items from your luggage and you need to contact a virtual reception counter that will only respond a week later when they feel like it to explain why they took your stuff.

Then why do you allow users that access the forums with the app to continue to post profanity and explicate language while restricting users of the website?

@idilis
If you carry on like this, CC is going to disappear you. You know that, don't you? There are always those behind a door who disappear troublemakers.
// Nurse Duckett had urgent news about Dunbar. ‘They’re going to disappear him,’ she said.
Yossarian squinted at her uncomprehendingly. ‘They’re what?’ he asked in surprise, and laughed uneasily. ‘What does that mean?’
‘I don’t know. I heard them talking behind a door.’
‘Who?’
‘I don’t know. I couldn’t see them. I just heard them say they were going to disappear Dunbar.’
‘Why are they going to disappear him?’
‘I don’t know.’
‘It doesn’t make sense. It isn’t even good grammar. What the hell does it mean when they disappear somebody?’
‘I don’t know.’
‘Jesus, you’re a great help!’
‘Why are you picking on me?’ Nurse Duckett protested with hurt feelings, and began sniffing back tears. ‘I’m only trying to help. It isn’t my fault they’re going to disappear him, is it? I shouldn’t even be telling you.’
Yossarian took her in his arms and hugged her with gentle, contrite affection. ‘I’m sorry,’ he apologized, kissing her cheek respectfully, and hurried away to warn Dunbar, who was nowhere to be found. //
