Have a huge match... loser changes name.
STOP THIEF - They Stole Our Name!!

Some players will already be members of both.

It's like, "I like your car, let's fight it out!"
Besides we don't like their name, they like ours!

There we go again!
As the chess.com community knows, Indian Marauders re-named themselves as Team India (Indian Marauders) because of our group's (Team India) popularity few days back. They however, were named back as Indian Marauders by staff (Kohai) as our group "Team India" already exists.
These guys have again renamed themselves. Now as "Team India-Indian Marauders" !
What's with these guys about using our group's name as a prefix? I wonder how the staff is going to view it this time. We in Team India definitely find it very irritating.

i have been writing a screenplay and am almost ready to pitch it to several movie studios. the working title of the film is Team India.
टीम भारत

Possible 'solutions' include:
- locking group names down so that they can not be changed by members - only by staff (in the same way as for usernames)
- partitioning India. (USA is partitioned into 3? groups).

i have to admit i like the sound of Indian Marauders much more than Team India. Team India seems to relaxed and blah. but Marauders? who here wants anything to do with facing Marauders? no one gentlemen. NO ONE!

all of these seem like good solutions. now if only enough non-paying members bawl and whine about it. you can do it guise!

maybe if enough members of Team India members come forward and type in huge bold print font Erik will give you all free memberships for a month! but that might be confusing. cuz, which Team India?!?!?!

We can help the partitioning of India if we get Team UK and Team Pakistan.
Don't forget East Pakistan aka Bangladesh.
Someone stole our name "Team India" and prefixed to their existing one, just because we are so successful !! Read this link:

I think this is a bad precedent and authorities should nip these tendencies right in the bud.
You will also notice a moron who is suggesting that now we change our name !
Of Course they are feeling guilty and are a bit ashamed of their act which is obvious from the irrelevant and illogical arguments they have put forward to justify the act. Here we are in 21st century where Internet has shrunk the world into a global village, and these guys are trying to divide people by pointing out where a particular Indian is currently residing !!
Not only they have added our group's name as a prefix to confuse new members, they also have the audacity to encourage members of Team India to leave the group and join theirs! I am sure this is totally against the good behaviour that is expected from a group's super admins and admins.
What next? Perhaps IBM should rename itself as Microsoft (IBM) to start selling it's PS2 O/S or maybe HP (IBM) to get into notebook market again
?
Just for records, Team India grew from about 550 to 850 members in a little over one month's time through sheer hard work (no spamming) of our admins and is the biggest Indian group on this site. This perhaps, is the reason these guys are feeling threatened. Whatever may the cause be, there is a decent way of competing, not through identity theft or misrepresenting.
I hope someone in chess.com in watching and will take appropriate action.
