STOP THIEF - They Stole Our Name!!

steal is a strong word. they probably just kindly borrowed it to serve their purpose at your expense.

Do you know why we asked you to change your team name?

First of all your team does not in any way represent India in the chess.com world league matches.

Second, Your team is a disgrace, because the actual Indian team is doing very very well than yours and your misleading group name is hurting the Indian team's(Indian Marauders) image. In the team matches, you are ranked 238 well behind us at 82. With a total of 997 members, your admins have managed to gain get your team ranked 309 in vote chess speaks for itself.

Third, Your group admins havent been in any way successful in doing a good job. The above chart is clearly indicative. A vote chess points of 10 indicates just 2 wins. Few new groups with less members started just 6 months back have gone ahead in vote chess points. 

Fourth, Your group is just another group here with a misleading name. I believe, many members would have joined your group thinking it represents India in the world league.

I have a question to anyone who visits this thread. If you are a French, German, American or which ever country, would you want your team to be run by such an admin? Would you allow your country's team name to be hijacked like this?

The scheme for creating country-representative groups was probably not well thought through. There needs to be a challenging Country Challenge Championship to challenge for the more challenging World Challenge Championship challenge.

You are probably not aware that Team India was created by US national only because he was not allowed to join Indian Marauders on the basis of Nationality.

World League leaders were confused and later reallised TM was not Indian nor active. SO they tried to place new Admins there. Result is there for everyone to see.

Members like you were active member of IM but chose to strengthen TM under pretext like logo etc which could easily have been resolved.

Chess.com specially wants IM to retain identity. My message to you in person states the reasons for that. Attempt was to unite TM & IM with one name TM ultimately without losing any credits earned thru hard work by IM.

Cheap words like "Stole" are uncalled for and doesnot present true story to uninitiated members.
