Nothing wrong with my mouse . . .
stopid mouse.. bad baad.. 😜
not just mouse, whenever i lose a game because of something i did but something i could do better.. i feel angry and try to change it. in your case i'd buy a new mouse 🙋
My stupid mouse often didn't deliver the piece to my desired square. As a result, I am 1/5 in my first 5 tactics/puzzles. Who else uses a dumb mouse? Did you regret losing points? What did you do/think to feel better?
Ok, yes. Mouse is worst than other options for move input. For me it is not slips and mistakes made with the mouse but simply that it takes longer since you have to aim for about a second. The best option in my view is a touch screen device. Just make sure it isn't very old so that there is no delay between the touch on the screen and what is happening on the screen. I think there you will make fewest errors and waste minimal amount of time on making the moves.
Another alternative is laptops or monitors which have touch screens. Normally they suck and have few uses for an average user, but if you have a keyboard on the screen and want to make moves faster and with fewer mistakes just used the touch screen input feature.
I play on the Android app, too. But on laptop, i just click and click now rather than dragging pieces.
Here, a good mouse.

Nice article. Thanks.
About that logitech: I wouldn't run out and buy one of these for the Mac. I did, and I hoped it would be an upgrade over the charging difficulties with the Apple mouse. The logitech MX Master 3 for Mac definitely makes uncommanded moves on the chessboard. I used to think it would revert to some square I had moused over, and that definitely happens, but it also sometimes moves a piece I am in the process of selecting to an uncommanded square that I have not moused over. Kiss of death for chess.
Hi Woollensock2, thanks for the offer. Any experience on Logitech mice and how to turn off whatever feature allows it to make uncommanded moves? I have to say, it's not fresh in my mind, but the attempt awhile back to download some Logitech software to help with configuring the mouse was also a disaster. But any advice would be most welcome.
