Tales of automatic cheater detection

Hello folks, let me tell you a story.

Today, as i was quietly enjoying chess, i encountered two cheaters in a few games. My mood went from happy :-) to grrr i'm angry :-(.

I said to myself : "Hey, their playstyle were really suspect, let's take a look to their profil and check". For both players, about one hundred game played and only a few loss sustained.

Ok, let's stop here. The cheating was obvious as soon as i looked the profils and performed some analysis. Hundred of games were ruined by these two "players", and if they are now out it's only because i detected it, manually analyze their games and reported them. So i have a question :

Why doesn't chesscom automatically perform a cheater detection when a new account perform very high win rate? This is not a rethorical question, i know may miss something and i'm really interested by the answer. If my games may be ruined i better know why.

The site does check a lot of games but with 20+ million games a day, not all games or all accounts get checked.

Last month, over 100,000 accounts were closed for fair play violations.

If you suspect someone, you should report them.
