The chinese world chess champion is in prison for cheating

Nobody is talking about this but the equivalent of magnus carlsen in xiangqi (chinese chess) has been put behind bars 3 month ago.

Everybody was in disbelief when they saw that but now the chinese gouvernement is cracking down on every top players that were cheating.

So kramnik is not that crazy. It is possible for very respected top players in a respected game to be cheating.

For those who do not know xiangqi it's an extremmelly popular chess like game in china, thailand, vietnam etc.. The king is stuck in a palace so there's always mating attacks.

It's literally the biggest issue for online chess, usually most ways are accounted for

How can you cheat though? You cant move a rook diagonally for example, which would be cheating, but you cant, so how is cheating happening?

20 seconds of reading the article he wasn't jailed for cheating, he was jailed for causing a massive public disorder including defacating - he probably got very drunk after the win.

The cheating accusations are just rumours - he wasn't caught cheating, it was just baseless accusations like Kramnik's ones.
