Too many online chess games

Number of online games should be limited, because these players always slow the tournaments down...
Why should everyone be punished for a few bad apples? Once again, I saw a lot of members with dozens and even hundreds of concurrent games and barely any timeouts. Maybe you should learn to be more patient.

I'm patient, but I don't see a point of playing 500 games in the same time. There's no way someone can actually enjoy playing so many games. With so many games at once, you're lucky to make all the moves in time, you can't analyze them, you can't learn from them etc.

Thats called online blitz : ) They want to have some moves to play at every time of the day, but they don't really want to be tied to play the move if they don't feel like playing. It is nice advantage. Anyway, let the people play how they want.

this, thought its acheivable with <100, i usually have around 50 games going at 1 day a move and normally have a move to make.

If they're holding up a tournament, so what? The tournament had an established time control. I don't understand these players who want other players to play according to their schedule when the whole point of correspondence is that it is lesiurely and allows for deep analysis.
Non pm's like you and I (and others) are limited in the tournaments we can play. A large tournament can be prevented from moving on to the next round by a single slow player, or, one that abuses vacation time. For some newbies that don't know how this all works, it is a turnoff.
Entering a tournament of multiple rounds where some abuse the system not only holds up the tournament itself, but angers most involved. The established time control that you write of is non-existent, unless you play in no vacation tournaments. You may have played your moves on time, and your games are completed. As a freeloader, you can only join other c.c sponsored tournaments.

I recently had a player contact me by email complaining that I was taking 2 long on his games when I was well within the legal time limit for the game. I told him to 4q off.
I have seen players with over 200 games and sometimes even over 1000 games.
My question is
Why do they do that,
Isnt it a waste of time
