tournament : only the first of my group will go to round 2

i'm playing in the

5th Chess.com Quick Knockouts (1201-1400)

i was 1st in my group then done a mistake that allowed a weaker player to defeat me in 1 game .

so the number 2 in the group wich we each won 1 game against each other

took the number 1 position.

so i want to know if only the 1st of each group continues to round 2 or it's otherwise ?

He will go through, because he has more points than you.

(i.e. he has 9 points, and even if you win your last game you'll have 8.)

Yes, only the first player goes through.

Some tournaments allow more, but this one doesn't. Note where it says "# Advance: 1" on the tournament page.
