My onky reservation would be that the players should be well down the list, in case one or more of the frontrunners leaves chess.com or gets banned, and can't then proceed to the next round.

Good point. But if they are still registered when the TD "calls" the next round then there is no issue - it just proceeds as it normally would. If the subsequently leave, or get banned or whatever, that is as would normally happen as well.
Hi Chess.com team, I would like to suggest one improvement to the already excellent tournament system you have. I have been playing several tournaments where the last game of a round has no impact on who proceeds to the next round, both players being out of contention to proceed to the following round. I support the right of these players to finish their game and get their best result they can manage. However would it be possible that when such circumstances occur the TD is given the option of initiating the next round while the last game/s of the proceeding round continue thus not holding up the rest of the tournament. It seems to me very common that all but 1 or 2 games in a tourney finish and then these last games take a month or more to complete. Where these games do not impact the makeup of the next round it would be good to have the option of keeping the tournament moving. Cheers, Andrew
