What kind of rating system do they use in Ireland? If it's an ELO-based system, you're much better than your rating. You're at least a high "B" player, maybe 1700. Master is 2200. You can get a 1000 rating if you have a pulse.
I just got back from a Chess tournament, scoring a nice 4/5 and bagging 60 quid aswell as some at least 100 rating points.
I beat the top seed (no. 1 out of 43 people) in my first game and won my second, and drew my third and fourth and getting a nice win in the last game.
I originally made this topic but when I clicked submit the whole thing deleted. So, I will be posting one game at a time and the second and third etc in replies so the whole thing getting deleted is less costly.
First game :
