Is it possible to have a transparent background?
I tried to upload a transparent image in custom theme but I get a checkered pattern background.
In pogchamp stream - https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=YcOckjMs-3A - looks like they have it (players names and rating are over the stream background - but maybe they got the same effect some other way?

hi! happy.png any thoughts on transparent background?

TorreDosClerigos
I am looking for a way to remove the background behind players names and rating, not the board or pieces. I would like to do it to have a cleaner merge between board/pieces and my stream background

Yes, it does. But when I tried to upload a transparent image in custom theme, I got a checkered pattern background... maybe there is a requirement that I’m not observing?

yes, that's what I'm looking for, checkmateohwait (nice nick, btw happy.png)

But i do not want it in my profile image, but in my background theme ("behind" the chessboard while i'm playing)

I'm looking for the same thing. I'd like to have the player data and move feed appear in front of a custom background set in streamlabs, so I can arrange them as I please without creating a messed up Image. GothamChess seems to use that aswell and I have no idea how to do it sad.png

It doesn't really make any sense to have a transparent background. The reason for transparency is to show what's behind it and the background will have the lowest z-axis value; i.e. there is nothing behind it to show.

You don't see it, but there's an image you can use for your background there, I swear.

No need.

In the streaming app (streamlabs, obs,...) use the window scene, then go to 4pc. After that, use click (drag) + control to remove the unnecessary part.
