Unlimited custom puzzles for free accounts?

I seem to have unlimited puzzles under the custom puzzles category. It used to only let me do a few then tell me I hit my daily limit. Is this a new feature for free accounts? Just some glitch? I still have a daily limit on the ranked puzzles.
