Update to Badges Should Include Ratings Tiers Icons for Non-Titled?

Proposing an update to badges, Chess.com should include incentives for non-titled players.  The idea would be, in addition to icons like "prochess" or "site icons" to include a ratings tiers badge similar to the red prefix for titled players. I stumbled across this photo on a backgammon site, which has a very similar elo rating system to chess.

The difference being that the badge for non-titled would still be located after the username.  To increase incentive, it could also be located as a prefix before the username if national or FIDE rating is listed under profile in the appropriate section.

Lastly, as the red prefix requires "proofs", perhaps giving, for example, your USCF ID number could help verify this.

It would also give incentive for players to register for an official rating and participate in more OTB tournaments.

What do you mean by badges? On this web site a badge is an in-game award. I don’t see why you should color them.

I guess since the pandemic more people did start to play on chess.com thus 1200 is not beginner/novice anymore happy.png

I would argue that an 1100-1200 isn't really a beginner... at that point you at least have to have a decent understanding of opening, tactics, and endgames.

I’d have to agree… I don’t think this bell curve is very accurate, because as a 1350 rated player, the graphic depicts me as being near the centre of the curve (below average), which according to the chess.com analytics is false since I’m ranked in the top 7% of players.

I think this bell curve is accurate to competitive tournament players, where the average is definitely ~1400.

In my experience, the average player on chess.com seems to be ~800
(Take that last part with a grain of salt though, because I don’t have any data to back that up)
