I learned that there is "varified member status" in chess.com which charges 15 USD per year for the first time and 10 USD per year for all other years. What I am not still clear is that what the difference between the paid premium membership and the varified member status is? Once if you pay for premium membership like diamond membership, you become verified member automatically? Or they are separate things? And what are the benefits of being varified member?
No, premium members do not automatically get verified. Verification also gives entry into verified only events, including the current Global Chess.com Championship with cash prizes into the 2nd+ phase, along with additional chash prizes in the future.
