these games that people volunteer for, how are they set up? just wondering as i recently began playing these volunteer games as a greeter but most of my games are won on time after 1 move. Do new players automatically start a game with a volunteer or do they have to sign up for it. If not, can this be changed to where people have to sign up for it as its kinda annoying that so many of the games are just won  on time as the people arent serious about it at all. Dont worry guys im not that annoyed just wondering about it. So i dont need them get over it posts. Ive only played 6  greeter games so far so maybe i just got unlucky with the people i got!

helpful information is welcomed!

its automatically set up. Ive greeted many and some never come to the site again. The funny thing is they all ask the same question. Are you told To give me a chance?

some greeter games are like...  and some are like Laughing   so it's a win or loss - the ones who play are the ones who plan to stick to chess.com, so you are bound to make a few friends in the process.  New friends are definitely worth the "hassle" of unfinished greeter games, don't you think?

well ive stopped because of the unreliability.

Same issue--signed up to be helpful and 6 straight games just went after 1-3 moves on time.  Even sent a "welcome" message.  So I opted out.  It's too much hassle.
