What are these pieces called?

I keep seeing them under "chesscom" URLs with these pieces, so I have to assume they're on this website, yet I can't ever seem to find them. I'm in love with them, yet every moment of my life is filled with dread because I don't know what these pieces are called.

They are 'chess' pieces I believe.

Hi, friend. I want you to know that when your teddy bear is thrown in a river sometime tomorrow afternoon it was me. Say your goodbyes now, and know that it was personal.

Chill, guys! I know it's wierd not to know that but I had to ask that question as well one day.

I know those chess pieces as "pawns" (not prawns) but some people call them "soldiers".

My good sir I do believe those are checkers

They are the ones chess.com uses for the puzzles when they are smaller or if you download a position as an image. They can't be used as playing pieces.
