You should discern quantum/quasi masters; they are the genuine fake ones with their pretentious quantum mechanical taste. Does it mean that on chess.com if someone has written FM before his name in red box, that he is truly a Fide Master?
GM has long been understood as Global Menace, only in very recent history has it been known to mean Grand Master

Almost always. Sometimes chess.com will give someone a title as a joke for a little while, but it's only happened once, and it was wgm.
