He IS the latest robot technology from the NSA. Chess.com found out he wasn't human so now they have to start again.
Right now he's being melted down for parts.
"and I do wonder how many might be falsely accused and kicked out and who have no chance to prove they are not cheating"
Very, very, very few, I suspect.
But, then again, I'm a skeptic.
I still believe some players can be very strong and not necessarily cheat... as in play without blundering... and I do wonder how many might be falsely accused and kicked out and who have no chance to prove they are not cheating, or there is no way to prove they are not cheating, so they are stamped guilty because of no proof able to be supplied that they are in fact NOT cheating...
Babs, if they believe they were wrongly accused they can contact the staff and provide the evidences that they are true good chess players with rating, ID etc.
I don't know what n you are talking about and how you could possibly have read I said that Rich... but forget it...
"as i[n] play without blundering... "
...this is what he's talking about. Now it makes perfect sense, I know...good grief.
yes we know an_arbitrary_name... this is what this whole forum is about...
As far as I can see nobody actually showed any evidence that he was banned. I didn't believe it until I saw it on his profile.
Why did he resign his games before he was banned for ? And why is he on vacation for two games ?
Im pretty sure it resigns games (some of them i beleive..) when your account gets closed, but i could be wrong.
Also he is on vacation because he was premium member.. so it automatically put vacation on for him, but once again i could be wrong :P.
chess_kebabs-"How can they prove it though Kelvin, if they only play online chess?" excatly ! if you are really that good online surely you must be ok in otb.
For example BorgQueen (u know him don't you babs? ) well here he is 2300 in the otb he is 1600 I think and goes to the club sometimes.
Yes, but Kelvin.... perhaps some people don't like to play otb and don't join clubs and therefore don't gain an FIDE or equivalent rating....
I'm not saying many... but it is possible, yes?
Yes is it possible very rarely though. PerfectGent is an example and the chess.com staff believe him somehow.
Considering how hard it is to get to GM-strength via OTB with all the advantages of peer-advice, trainers, coaches, lessons,--and over the course of 10+ years for the very, very talented--it really is a remote proposition that there's an online-only player that has made GM level.
It would also have to be done almost solely by playing engines too. Not much long standard games w/ GMs out there.
I would say the same applies to IM strength as well.
I still like my idea I have suggested before, let's have an in-person invitational OTB tournament between all the top-rated players on Chess.com that don't have official ratings and anybody who wants to play them, including rated players.
It won't take long to find out how good everyone is and it would be the
most exciting tournament ever at Chess.com.
Did he delete his account? Was he baned? What happened to him? Where is he?
