What is this players league? I'm paired into a league with total strangers. What is this about? Another attempt by chess.com to get us even more hooked and waste more time on their site?
Is it just me, or do I feel that websites use technology and strategies to get us addicted to their site?

The only rewards were during the first four weeks for chess.com partnered streamers, for the first Champion division that runs (money prizes), and the first 200 in Champion that get memberships.
The only other benefit is making it to Legend league where there will eventually be prizes and events.
Chess.com's Players League is nothing but a regressing to the worse competition akin to the one exposed in the "They Shoot Horses, Don't They?" Hollywood film. Most of you never heard of it, but I remember when it came out, and its profound denouement deeply imprinted in my memory to this day. Huh, I doubt even chess.com's CEO Rensch knows what I'm talking about.
