What the newbees should know about Chess.com.#2

Please try and learn the rules of chess epecially en-passent, castling, pawn promotion. That will save alot of embrassment.
Here is the good place to start with "Rules of Chess"

winerkleiner 2)...they listen to complaints. Yes the staff are happy to listern to you if you have any concern with this website.

Is it true that TheGrobe is the biggest Hitler in the history of the universe and always telling people what to do here?
This noob wants to know.

Goldendog we can safetly say the TheGrobe is not the biggest Hitler in this website.
So what you're saying is, Yes, but you're not free to talk.

You newbees may come across some rude members especially in live chess and in the chat room. Will unfortunately there is not much you can do about it. If the person is rude just turn off the chat box, still rude ? blocked that person. If is it very serious you can reported them through the help and support link which is provide at the bottom of every page.

Guys please keep this thread clean for kohai please. I know you guys just having a banter on me hahah.

Oohh how can we forget this great guy name erik who is the proud operater and owner of this website.
See here for his 'profile' remember do not report abuse or techinals stuff to him but your are welcome to say Hi to him.

Two very important things to remember...
1) Never tell your opponent to resign. This down right rude if you do. Just finish the game in the best way you can or play some more games or read a book etc.
2)Never tell your opponent to hurry up and make thier move. This also down right rude.

However:
1) Always resign when you're in a clearly lost position. It's just the courteous thing to do.
2) Don't unnecessarily delay your moves and games.
This was a good thread to be for the newbees but sadly it got sidetracked. So I am hoping to try it again to give better informations for newbees.
