Ignore, simple, and efficient, isn't?

I get accused about once a month. Nothing ever comes from it because, surprise, I'm not cheating. Ignore false accusations, the chess.com staff can tell the accusations are false.

BTW, Torquay, did you get accused because you hadn't made an error in the first 7 moves ????. Too funny.

That is a mighty warrior in your profile picture,Mittttens.

I just got accused of cheating, I am 998 and they were 1495.

Here's the game.

I told them to get lost and blocked them, let them report me, it wasn't even a rated game, so who would cheat in a non-rated game?

The London has lots of nasty traps, hence why I play it. Anyone who is 1495 shouldn't have fallen for it, anyway.

This is so funny. Your opponent made a bad move in an unrated game, and then they accuse you. happy

As a side note, it is difficult to say anything about anyone's level just based on the opening. There are several reasons: 1) The probability of finding good moves by luck is not too low, when there are just a few moves, 2) There are loads of opening courses available today, so some people just memorize lines, and 3) The opening is the easiest part of the game to get right by just following general principles.

When a person isn't cheating he takes it as a compliment when he is cheating he gets all fired up, wound up and angry.

I must disagree. The accusation is not a compliment, although it implies that you have played well. It also implies that you have done something morally wrong, which is offending. Knowing that you haven't cheated doesn't help. Imagine someone calls you a rapist or a murderer. Knowing that you haven't done anything like that doesn't make it less offending.

The only sane thing is to ignore them. There is absolutely no point in having a dialog with a steaming sore loser. And his accusation is meaningless anyway. It's just hot air

Hey guys, i wanna know a you'r opinion on something: today i player agains a player and in the first round he lost. Then we played a second round but this time he played some "suspect" moves, like they were made from AI. Then at the end of the round, After he won i reported him for cheating because i had the suspect that he was cheating. Now i would like to know: If chess.com confirm that he didnt cheated, what could happen to my account? Btw that was my First report

ryanovster

If you are right just wait for chess.com to ban them, cheaters always get caught, just ask neimann

If you have suspicions that your opponent is cheating it's never a bad idea to report, let chess.com staff figure out if he is cheating or not. In case you were wrong, nothing will happen to your account, don't worry about it!
