Why do I lose every game?

The reason why anyone would lose over and over again even with weak players starts with you. You have to be interested in the game. Playing a game of chess for no other reason than to just play will go nowhere. You have to be sort of "goal" oriented when it comes to chess. For another way of saying it, you are out to win!  

Some players don't care as much about winning. They're more interested in being recognized and noticed. Even if it comes down to cheating. So when playing chess online, you have no idea what your opponent has on his end.

Well, in a way you are right, littlejoe. In order to win you have to want to win. But that's not exactly all there is to it. A person  also has to have patience, more than a basic understanding of the game, and they should have a love for the game as well.

You're right never3.  You have to be very interested in the game where not only does one play it but, studies it as well.  Patience is a very important factor no doubt!
