Why do sometimes achievements do not get unlocked?

This is a serious thing. I played a game of 4 player chess but the achievement "Dangerous Intersection" didn't get unlocked. I joined a tournament but the achievement "Contender" didn't get unlocked. Like this I done a lot of things but achievements do not get unlocked

There was a big update in how variants, and 4PC in particular, are hosted. It's very likely the achievement code hooks were not preserved when that work was completed.

You'll get the League achievements the next time you promote. The site had a backup process but turned it off temporarily to work out some issues. So that will likely be running again at some point.

The tournament has to be Swiss 

I did a few drills, but so far the achievement for attempting 1 drill hasn't unlocked.

There are bugs with several achievements I can’t list them all.

Contender, Dangerous Intersection, Train Your Brain, Brain Of Steel, Silicon brain, Man vs. Machine, All The League Ones, & First! And just as far as I know.
