If you click on your blank flag it goes to chess.coms stance on the war in Ukraine. Chess.com is not showing the flags of Russia or Belarus, this is the most likely explanation.
Why is my flag blank

why would it not show flags????

It's a form of protest against the regimes in those countries. Seems like a pointless thing to do in my opinion, but it's their site and they decide the rules

Why do they want to protest those "regimes" in the first place? Because they are authoritarian? Saudi Arabia is literally an absolute monarchy yet it's flag is allowed. Because they are in a war? There is currently armed conflict in Syria, Iraq, Palestine, Yemen, Kashmir and Myanmar yet i don't see the flags of their participants getting removed

Valid points, not showing Russia's flag will make little difference. However, Ian Nepo couldn't play under his flag at the candidates tournament, FIDE rules.

I tried resetting it multiple times and it's blank for some reason? Help wanted
And you only noticed now?

The account was created May 29 of 2020 with one game played and July 17 2022 was when the second game was played. This looks to be the player's first visit since the Chess.com action was taken in February. I will not weigh in on how reasonable it is to stay off chess.com for almost 26 months, but if this is somebody's first sign-on in the past five months then the question O.P.'s question is reasonable.

What crimes exactly? Shooting down a civilian airliner? Then the US, Ethiopia and Iran should get their flags banned too (Iran Air Flight 655, East African Express Airways Brasilia crash, Ukraine International Airlines Flight 752)
Being authoritarian? Then half the flags should be banned
Starting a war? Then the US, Britain, Poland, Australia and Azerbaijan should have gotten banned over the last 20 years
