Why is this app so different from the desktop version?

It's almost like phones and desktop/laptop computers were different and had different capacities.
And then who knew that there were different apps for the differing phone types? And that they were developed by different teams of developers, who had to take into account the many differences in features of all the many models out there.

Lol you’re sarcasm shows how dumb you are considering there Exactly the same. How ignorant do you have to be to not comprehend the subject of my question here? Why can’t I find king of the hill anymore! It was on the app before, now it’s not... that bugs me.

The website and the two apps are not even remotely the same and have never been the same.
Phones have been changing rapidly over the last ten years and are becoming almost as powerful as desktop and laptop computers but there are still a lot of differences which make it impossible to have them all be the same.
But if the absence of king of the hill from the phone apps is what's upsetting you, why didn't you say that?
King of the Hill was on the website. It has never been on the Android app. Maybe on the Ios app but I don't use that one so I don't know.
They are just rolling out a major improvement to the Android app which has a bunch of functions that were previously not available on the Android app, including Puzzle Rush, the streaming of chess tv and other things.
They can't do everything at once.

If you read my post and understood it instead of making dumb useless comments, you would see I did...
I said some buttons and games modes were missing. I wasn't debating the difference between a phone and desktop... I asked if anybody had Experienced the same issues as I have listed above.
Not, can someone please reply with a snide, egotistical remark? I'f you think this post is dumb or me, then don't respond. Simple no?

*they're
I have noticed that if someone posts a link to another thread and it opens in the app’s browser, one sees the formatting tools above the composition box.
So why is a feature that is present on a mobile browser implementation not available in the mobile app?

I don't know, guess they just didn't bother to add it in. I actually had to switch to browser just to use that feature. Would it have been that difficult? or they just forgot? What I wanna know is why we can't play any variant other then chess960 on app? I don't think implementing crazyhouse or king of the hill would be that hard to do... plus those types of variants would be fun on mobile app.
