Difficult Queen endgame

I had a queen endgame similar to this one the other knight as black, and found it very difficult to win. The only way to create a passed pawn is to use the Kingside majority, but that leaves the king exposed to perpeptual check. I eventually lost a queenside pawn due to a fork, and since the pawn endgame was no longer winning I settled for a perpeptual check. Any tips for an endgame like this?

Aren't ALL queen endings drawn by perpetual check?

From my understanding, you gotta create a passed pawn in queen endgames. Passed pawns are usually more important than just the number of pawns, because a queen can't blockade a pawn from another queen (any other piece can). However, in this structure, I'd have to advance my kingside pawns to get a passer, which leaves my king vulnerable. Usually the Queen has to guard from perpeptual check and help pawns advance at the same time, but I had a very hard time doing that here.

What about trying to create a passed pawn on the Queenside, say with ...Qc4(?) Either you freeze play on the Q-side, thus making the game three to one pawns on the K-side, or your Queen is now positioned to at the very least slow down any perpetual check on the K-side.
