I guess so because he has an extra pawn--it'll make the difference. You have more reserve moves than white, and use that advantage to gain the opposition.
Yes that is how I won the game, but I'm wondering about Kc4. Would I then proceed to storm the kingside without my king, and sneak over to the queenside while his king comes to the kingside? I'm just wondering if white can then take all my kingside pawns and queen by the time I queen. I don't have a set with me as I loaned it to a friend.
The majority on the kingside will be used to eventually create a passed pawn--this is done by advancing the bishop pawn, the one that has no pawn directly in front of it, supported by the knight pawn. At the right time this pawn will be abandoned. While White is stopping and capturing that pawn with his king, Black will race his king across the board and capture White's queenside pawns, winning easily.
Ricardo's explanation is spot on, this is a simple win. Another piece of advice: study K+P vs K. It's a relatively simple ending but if you don't know it you may goof your won position! On the queenside, ending up with only a rook pawn would be a disaster, and promoting a knight pawn can be tricky if you've never studied it before. :)
I'm already very familiar with K+P endagmes. Was just making sure, I guessit was easier than I thought. Thanks for the help, sorry to post such an obvious ending :P

Hello- I've just been at a tournament, played 3 games won 2 and lost 1. 3 more games tomorrow. I was going to post my full game here but my notation got screwed up as always and I find entering games here can be a bit buggy So I decided to just post this position, reached in one of my games. I am black, but it is white to move. My opponent ended up blundering and I got away with an easy win luckily. Oops- My question is can black win?
