If you know K+Q vs K checkmate well, then this one isn't too much tougher. The key to this is just that you must first separate their King and Knight so that you can win their Knight (or threaten checkmate) and then it is literally just K+Q vs K checkmate.

As long as you avoid Knight forks to your Queen and King, then you should be okay. To do this, try to keep your Queen and King on opposite color squares because the Knight can only fork pieces which are on the same color complex as each other.
