Playing the end game is my favorite part of the game

I never thought I'd think that, but I really enjoy the battles when the board is less full of pieces. It is more fun and more of a challenge.

Now I am talking about an end game of about 8 to 10 pieces. (Maybe a few less.)

It is so much easier to think about the situation, and so much more fun to plan what you will do.

The middle game is so cluttered and so complicated. So much to dodge, and I feel there are attacks almost everywhere.

Somehow there is a feeling of peace in the end game, even though the battle rages on.

Anyone else feel this way?

Nope! I love the middlegame.. I usually want to win a pawn or even a piece in it, so I have an easy endgame. When the endgame is even I usually lose. Endgame is I think the hardest part in the game... Because there are so many options.

Yes, you are right. Lots of options. But you have a clearer vision of the board, and it really makes you think - for me, in a clearer way than in the middle game. It is more of a challenge for me to plan and sort things out , whereas the middle game is trying to stay out of trouble, dodge the bullets.

i find i like the middlegame the best, because finding the complicated tactic to win material is my rush
