yes. people say it's harder than queen vs. knight, but personally i think it is easier.
queen vs bishop

no, because there are no kings
Don't be silly. The queen cannot mate the bishop because he's a man of the cloth.

well thats obvi Ivandh, unless you listen to the creepy priests in california and the middle ages(pedofiles and the middleages people had children)

I love how the queen and king approach so nonchalantly, hardly slowed down at all by the presence of the bishop. K+Q vs K+B is a very classy mate.

This example: White to move draws while Black to move wins
It is easier to checkmate with a queen against a bishop than against "nothing". You can't stalemate your opponent while you refuse to capture the bishop .

You can do it easily. All you need to do is keep your queen on the opposite color from your opponent's bishop, walk your king in to guard your queen, use your queen to force the king into a corner and deliver mate. It's really the same as mating with queen vs king, except there's no zugzwang so you have to give checks, which means the king needs to help earlier.
hello
to whoom this may concern
My name is ccall and I have a end game question - if it is a stupid question forgive me as I am intermediate player here goes
If a player has a queen and the other player has a bishop, all other pawns and pieces are gone for both sides, can the queen mate against the bishop?
can the queen mate
