What are the best books on rook endgames?

The rook is my favourite piece and rook endgames occur the most. I want to become a true master in rook endgames but I've hit a brick wall.

I've nailed the Silman's Beginner to Master course endgame book, but I found it a bit...basic.

I've tried Youtube to extend my knowledge on rook endgames and I'm lucky to even see a video that isn't based on a simple Lucena/Philidor position.

I want the best book (s) ever written on rook endgames. What are they?

A good source to study rook endings is Akiba Rubinstein games.

Best book ever?

After Page 511 the moment of awakening will come on a clear, sunny day: Your technique will be precise and these complicated maneuverings will already be in your DNA because you used first-rate resources with which to do your own methodical work.

The classic here is Rook Endings, by Smyslov and Levenfish. But I am sure that by now there are more books that are at least as good.

Smyslov/Löwenfisch is still great. Nunn''s chess endings Vol.2 with verbal comments and 2 ECE tomes give a good guess for great learning stuff. Van Perlo's book has great examples, but I'd prefer a good study collection. As always the reader decides the quality. ')

Historically, besides the Smyslov - Levenfish book, Lehr- und Handbuch der Endspiele by André Chéron, and Comprehensive Chess Endings volume 5, by Nikola Kopaev (under Averbakh's name).

Bizarrebra

This is my favorite, no doubt for me.

This is Kasparov's go to book, per an introduction by Seirawan, who apparently was playing some skittles against Kasparov, when they reached a rook ending, Kasparov insisted it was a draw, Seirawan wasn't so sure, and Kasparov reached for this book to show Seirawan it was right there "in black and white", literally, and figuratively

I request that the OP obtain all the books mentioned and let us know which is best. Thank you.
