Why is this not Mate?

The price of pre-moving 
The king can capture that queen because there's nothing protecting the queen
When in check, there are 3 ways to get out of it
1 - Move the King. The King has no legal moves that wouldn't also be check, except for Kxc7
2 - Block the Check - There are no pieces which can get in between the king and the queen
3 - Capture the Checking piece - The King can capture the queen with Kxc7.
If one king is in check, and cannot Block, Move, or Capture, then it's checkmate. This is not checkmate because while the king can't block, the King can capture the queen because it wouldn't be check (nothing guards the queen)

I’m still TOTALLY knew to this game and still haven’t figured out the “ins and outs” of “checkmate”.
The coaching app doesn’t explain why. Quick answer to why this isn’t checkmate?
