Because white is not in check. Its stalemate, as the white king has no squares to move to.
Why was it not checkmate?

if the king is neither in check...nor it have any legal moves or even if the player doesnot have any legal moves the game is considered as stalemate...in simple words it's considered as draw....!
This is stalemate, when the white king cannot make any legal moves. The justification is that, since white cannot make a move, black can never fully actualize the checkmate, resulting in a draw. Better would be giving the white king space to move until black can position their king in a way to checkmate white.

That is stalemate. The black king is NOT in check and he can't go anywhere. If you were black what could you do except saying that you can't go any where? The king must be in check and can't go anywhere then it can be checkmate. By the way please do not mark your name at the bottom of the thing you're saying, do not let out personal info!

Stillmate
*Stalemate, not STILLMATE!
*Stillmate, not STALEMATE

Hello everyone,
My last match ended up as in the picture.
(Whites: King in H2. Blacks: King in F2, Queen in F3. Whites' turn)
I though it would be a checkmate, as the white king cannot move elsewhere. However, the game stopped and resulted in a draw.
According to which rule this would be a draw?
Thank you very much.
Angelo
