Beating Natasha bot

Hey guys I’m very new to chess only playing just over 4 weeks now. My rating on my alt acct is somewhere around 1000 but my main at least for rapid is 535. I was playing some bots and figured I’d try for the Natasha bot. Somehow I beat her first try 8 points up. Not sure if this is a glitch or if I got really lucky but I was wondering if this bot is actually challenging or if I just happened to get lucky.

Considering that there is a post on this forum about one player that took hundreds of games to beat her then you could say that you got lucky. I've beaten her now but I didn't think I had any chance as she is rated 2,000, I don't think that she's anywhere near that as it took me a few games. You'll know when she's losing, she keeps moving the King for no apparent reason. Lucky or not, you've beaten her so good job!

yeah im completely confused. i know the post you are talking about thats why i made this wondering if she got updated or something. today ive played her twice more and won both games so im not sure whats going on but ill take it i guess

I just beat Natasha bot the other day in response to the above-referenced post. Maybe I got lucky, but I didn't feel my brain boiling over from stress. Note, though, that even though she is rated 2000, she's an adaptive bot. She plays stronger moves when you're ahead, and weaker ones when you're behind. For comparison, try one of the straight-up 2000 bots and see  how you do. I haven't so far, but I'm betting they'll be a lot harder than Natasha.

@MSteen, I think you're right about the other bots, I'm not playing any games at the moment as I'm working on pattern recognition but I did try Noam a while back, I think he's rated just above Natasha and I found him a lot more difficult and still not beaten yet.
